  Jaguar Development

Jaguar development is perfomed by connecting your computer to your Jaguar via an interface such as an Alpine II board, BJL Modded Jaguar, JUGS, or other system. Development may also be done by writing a program for the Jaguar, and burning it to CD if you can bypass the Jaguar's encryption. Programming is usually done in Assembly, but C compilers are available for the Jaguar.

A few companies still develop for the Jaguar, such as Songbird and ScatoLOGIC. Most development is done freelance and underground now. Games not released on cartri dge can be downloaded to your Jaguar if you have a development kit of some sort. You can also play 'home brew' games via CD if you have a bypass cartridge, or an encrypted CD.

More development information can be found in the links section, and/or in the JHQ Development Project.
